Peg Eleanor has been painting on silk for 30 years. She creates wearable art and paintings using gutta and french dyes.

You can’t say Peggy Beck’s career was a straight road …she came to painting later on. Her childhood and adolescence were shaped by the uncompromising  discipline of dance ! She studied six years in The School of American Ballet, training for George Balanchine’s NYC dance company. In the 1970’s Peggy went to France to continue her dance studies and decided to stay in Europe. After working in various dance companies Peggy made a sudden break with the dance world and met up with painting, throwing herself enthusiastically into this new expression. A new art, she felt free to express her talent as an exceptional colorist.

During the 1980’s and  1990’s Peggy’s work led her to explore color, shapes in different medium. Today Peggy works with traditionnel techniques, such as oil, pastels, and chinese ink.
